Projects

Air Traffic Management

  • TMA & Runway Capacity Estimation (Dec 2022 - )

  • Trajectory-based Operations for Airspace Users (Jul 2023 - )

  • Changi Airport Surface Movement Modelling (Jun 2022 - Jun 2023)

    • Research Project in the Institute for Infocomm Research, A*STAR

    • In this project, we proposed an aircraft surface movement model, which can be used to simulate the aircraft movements on the ground and provide a more accurate and reliable prediction of the aircraft movements.

  • Demand Prediction and Capacity Estimation for Terminal Maneuvering Area (TMA) (Oct 2021 - Oct 2023)

    • Research Project in the Institute for Infocomm Research, A*STAR

    • In this project, we developed a data-driven approach to predict the demand and capacity of TMA, which is a critical part of the air traffic management system. The goal is to provide a more accurate and reliable prediction of the demand and capacity, which can help to improve the efficiency and safety of air traffic management.

  • Distributed Model Predictive Routing and Scheduling with an Eulerian-Lagrangian Air Traffic Flow Dynamic Model (Apr 2015 - Jun 2018)

    • Research Project in Air Traffic Management Research Institute (ATMRI), NTU

    • The goal of this research is to develop a distributed model-predictive air flow management approach (in terms of flight routing and scheduling), which is applicable to a large-scale air traffic network, and can mitigate the network-wise en-route and airport arrival delay caused by reduction of link capacities during abnormal situations such as severe weather in some regions or airspace restrictions due to military operational needs.
